Biography
Oldest son of Landgrave Carl of Hessen-Kassel. Succeeded him as ruling Landgrave 1730. Married for the second time 1715 with Princess, later Queen (ruling 1719-1720), Ulrika Eleonora of Sweden. Succeeded her as ruling King 1720.
