Biography
Oldest son of King Johann I of Saxony. Succeeded him as King 1873.
Married to Princess Carola of Wasa, granddaughter of Swedish King Gustav IV Adolf.
Received the order at King Oscar II’s state visit to Prussia.
Later received the Royal Norwegian Order of Saint Olav at a state visit to Stockholm.
