Biography
Oldest son of Prince August Wilhelm, a younger brother to King Friedrich II and Queen Lovisa Ulrika, King Adolf Fredrik’s consort. Succeeded his father as successor to the throne and received the title Prince of Prussia 1758. Succeeded his uncle King Friedrich II as King Wilhelm Friedrich I 1786.
