Biography
Third son of Emperor Pavel I and younger brother to Emperor Alexandr I- Succeeded him, after his older brother Grand Duke Konstantin’s renunciation of the throne, as Emperor Nikolaj I 1825. Received the order at Crown Prince Carl Johans visit to Turku.
