Biography
Oldest son of Hereditary Prince (later King) Adolf Fredrik. Crown Prince 1751. Succeeded his father as King 1771 as Gustav III. Shot at a masked ball at the Royal Opera House in Stockholm on 16 March 1792 and died of his wounds on 29 March.
